SoM NNL Replay: KC@STL Game 1 - Solo stars

Dobie Moore opens the scoring with a two RBI triple to right with two outs in the top of the third. He goes on to score himself on a single from Cannady. Trent then walks two more batters to load the bases and just barely gets out of the inning without further damage by striking out the Monarchs pitcher Foster.

However, the home team come right back at the Monarchs, loading the bases to start the bottom of the third and scoring all three runners on a sequence of hits, two walks and some hard hit grounders.

Willard Brown breaks the tie with a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth. Dewey Creacy, who is absolutely on fire since he got his first starts for St. Louis, adds another solo shot in the sixth. In the eighth, stars catcher Trouppe joins the solo homer party with two outs, advancing the score to the final result of 6-3 for the home team.
