New unit: Wunsch Freibatallion

When I wrote up my latest roll call update I realized how nice it is to have individual blog posts for each new unit.

So here are a few posts for the latest units that came off the painting table, starting with the Prussian Wunsch Frei Infantry. I recently finished one batallion shown in close order and executing peloton fire.

The new batallion Wunsch in a kind of peloton fire mode: the two stands in front are opening the cartridges by biting off the paper covers, exposing the back powder that will be put into the barrel before the bullet. The two middle stands have finished loading and wait for the command to prepare for firing. The stands at the back have inserted gun powder, the bullet and the paper wrapping of the cartridge and are pushing it all down tightly to the end of the barrel.
